We spoke to Dr Benjamin Ferguson from the University of Warwick about the economics of football. [ https://www.benjaminferguson.org/ ]

Ben doesn't know much about football, but he knows plenty about the tenets of society, how equality and justice work and ways in which we channel our lives through sport.  We absolutely loved speaking to him and by the end,  we were both much wiser on the realities of football.

I definitely think we have a new Leeds convert.

We spent an hour with Dave our king of stats to discuss what will happen when Leeds are in the premiership.  Dave is specially placed to discuss this with us as a Leicester fan and with one of our obsessions of Leeds 'doing a Leicester'.

Dave is level headed, factual and brutal in his denunciation of my erratic behaviour around football and Si's cold and calculating planning for the future.

We had a great laugh doing this.  It has everything: Finance, hard facts about how consistently good our players are and an actual dream of Vardy signing for Leeds.
