Today I am excited to introduce you all to Kiesha Yokers! I recently hired Kiesha to facilitate a breathwork session at my Unplug From Fear Retreat in Everett, WA. Her energy, authentic and real presence was such a blessing to our group. I can't wait for you all to learn more about her today!

-Her journey to exploring breathwork and what led her to look for help. 

-Kiesha shares one of her favorite tools that you can utilize starting today.

- a 3 minute breathing exercise. 

-I ask Kiesha to share a bit about how she hears her intuition through her body and what she has done to practice this!

The 411 on Kiesha: 

Kiesha Yokers is a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator and somatic embodiment life coach who helps people reconnect with their bodies and heal through nervous system regulation. Her own path—from childhood anxiety to embracing trauma healing in 2020—inspired her passion for holistic wellness.

With more than 15 years as an elementary school teacher, Kiesha blends the heart of an educator with the depth of somatic practice. She holds certifications as a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator, meditation teacher, holistic health coach, and is an ICF-accredited embodiment life coach. Her advanced studies in Somatic Experiencing and at the Strozzi Institute keep her work rooted in the latest trauma-informed approaches.

Equity is central to her mission. Kiesha offers sliding-scale classes, collaborates with nonprofits, and shares free tools online to reach those often excluded from wellness spaces.

A mother of two and proud military spouse, she brings warmth, accessibility, and lived experience to her belief that wellness is for everybody.

The 411 on Levi: 

Levi Stearns is a born Entrepreneur that started out like most people following family into a working field. He became a journeyman plasterer at the age of 23 and worked as a union plasterer for 6 years. He decided to get out of construction and into sales when he became a realtor in 2006 and endured the great recession with great success as a blue-collar work ethic, and determined spirit led him to heights he didn't expect. He then ventured into insurance to broaden his sales career and found more success, yet he was not home enough and wanted to find something new. The opportunity to work in a high-volume mitigation company came along and he took it. He trained multiple top producing project managers and was the top project manager in volume for almost six years. The want for more was always there and this was the Entrepreneurial bug. He went on to lead multiple other businesses to millions in production and then started his own construction company with a fellow team member. Unfortunately, when that partnership was no longer viable, he struck out on his own to start Core Contractors LLC. The company is just a couple months short of two years and has seen tremendous growth. Levi and his wife have two children and three cats and live happily in Lake Stevens WA.

Meet Vira Smith! In today's episode Vira shares with us about her journey from a place where she feared death- to where it opened a door for her that she'll never shut!

In today's episode we talk about:
-How VIra's journey with spirituality began from a fear of death.
-Her experience learning Reiki, Yoga Nidra, Hypnotherapy and Holistic Nutrition and how she uses these tools in her daily life.
-The importance of remembering that you can take these classes/certifications for YOU- you don't have to take on clients. These tools are meant to be used in our daily lives!
-VIra's experience with channeling different energies.

The 411 on Vira:
Born and raised in Washington state, Vira is the youngest sibling in a family of ten children. She resides with her sister Elizabeth in Tacoma along with her fluffy feline, Hampton. Vira has been described as a kind-hearted, nurturing listener. She is also a certified Reiki Master, Yoga Nidra Facilitator, Hypnotherapist, and Holistic Nutrition Coach.

Her journey into all things healing and spiritual started with her fear of death and it opened a door for her she would never dare to shut. She achieved a life-long passion of working with primates as a care-staff intern while finishing her Bachelor’s Degree at The Evergreen State College in 2007.

She now works to expand her consciousness, live mindfully, and re-incorporate the practice of her healing modalities on others along with sisters Elizabeth and Zara as a way to lean into her purpose in this lifetime in a healthy and balanced way.

Welcome back to the I love it when podcast! I've been on a 3 month break- so much has happened, I'm excited to fill you all in!

This episode is all about giving you the deets about what happened at the Unplug From Fear Retreat last week- September 26th-28th... as well as- I have 2 special announcements to share!! Themes/lessons from the retreat: 

-This group was immediately comfortable and vulnerable- multiple people said this to me and made note of it. This means a LOT to me because creating as safe a container as possible is my #1 objective. 

-It IS possible to discuss heavy topics and experience joy in the same space/time. 

-Intention + frequency is everything. Intention is IT. The Universe/Spirit responds to your frequency and intention helps to guide the energy. If you go about your life with zero intention- it will be like floundering about the ocean with no clear goal on where you're headed.

I believe the Universe brings different people into my life at very specific times- and Juliana Fajardo came into my world at such a time. I met her in March 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. We were gathering in an online space called "Stronger Together" and I was immediately drawn to her energy and her curiosity. We met in person in July of 2020- at the same time I first met my now partner, Tom Harrison. We have stayed in touch ever since and cultivated a lovely friendship. I really believe Juliana has a presence, voice and energy that needs to be heard by many. I believe she's a change agent- and I want more people to know her and learn from her. The way she talks about intuition and energy is approachable, clear and coming from a place of curiosity which is KEY.

-How she receives signs or synchronicities and follows that guidance

-What she has done in the past when she's been in a "void" or a space where she didn't know what was going to happen next

-How her intuition has helped her build more self confidence and self love

The 411 on Juliana:

Juliana Fajardo is a creative, an empath, and a practicing intuitive. She is the Senior Development Manager for Friendship Bridge, a nonprofit social enterprise creating opportunities that empower women in Guatemala to build a better life, through microfinance, education, and preventive health services. She has been in the nonprofit sector for over a decade and enjoys being a connector and a collaborator in this space. In her work as a nonprofit professional and as an artist and creator, she currently feels guided by curiosity and being in an exploratory phase. Unapologetically passionate about strawberries and easily amused, she finds joy in the simple things and loves expressing that. She is excited to be exploring her intuitions and to see where this takes her in her life and career.

She holds a Master of Public Administration with a dual concentration in Nonprofit Organizations and Environmental Policy, Management, and Law from the University of Colorado Denver and a B.S. in Statistics with minors in Environmental Studies and Dance from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

I recently started a conversation with Chat GPT- just to play a bit and see how I could utilize it in my business. I felt led to share information about myself and then asked it to create 11 questions that it would ask me to share about myself in a solo podcast episode. Here is part 2- with the rest of the questions it crafted for me!

Have you ever been to a breathwork class or workshop? Breathwork for me has always been something I've approached with hesitation and a bit of fear. This is exactly why I want to talk about it and share this episode with you! If you've ever done it before- once you get into a rthythm- your body can and will respond in a number of different ways. The more I've explored breathwork- the more I have fallen in love with it and the fear has melted away. Breath is transformative, healing and can change your life in SO many ways.
