This week Henry has headed back to his favourite snowy musical region so we're back in Canada with Metric's blend of indie guitars and 80's synths. One of the original bands to do this before the likes of podcast favourites Chvrches (yes, we're coming to them at some point), they were trailblazers for the sound but never made it particularly huge outside their homeland.

Does this one need an introduction? I don't think it does, but in case you're unaware of The Beach Boys, they were kind of a big deal in the 60's, and this album has regularly featured near the top of "greatest rock albums of all time" lists. Good choice, Mr Salmon.
