There is plenty happening in the world right now that can make you want to throw your hands up and say, “What’s the point?”
Maybe you look at the current state of things and think nothing you do will really matter. Maybe you've had plans and dreams, but life has convinced you that it's safer to stop trying. Maybe you've started to believe that you're simply a victim of circumstances you can't control.
But what if that's not who you are?
You were created in the image of God.
That means your life has meaning. You have dignity. You have responsibility. You have a purpose.
The world may be broken, but that doesn't mean your life is pointless. Difficult circumstances don't erase the calling God has placed on your life. And trusting God doesn't mean sitting around waiting for Him to fix everything—it means trusting Him enough to get up, make plans, set goals, do the work, and move forward.
In this episode, we talk about despair, purpose, failure, current events, and what it means to live as someone who believes that God is actually on their side.
You are not merely a victim of the world around you.
    You have meaning.
    You have purpose.
You were made in the image of God.
So make some plans. Set some goals. Try something. Build something. Love somebody. Take the next step.
And trust the Lord with what happens next.

  • Who Can Be Saved? Luke 18 Finally Makes Sense
In Luke 18, Jesus isn't giving us a lesson on having childlike faith. He's showing us something even more profound.
Beginning with the persistent widow, moving through Jesus welcoming little children, continuing with the rich ruler, and ending with the disciples asking, "Who then can be saved?", Luke weaves together a single message: we are completely helpless to save ourselves.
Infants don't bring accomplishments, wisdom, or spiritual maturity. They simply receive. That's the picture Jesus gives us of salvation.
The answer to "Who can be saved?" isn't found in trying harder or believing better. It's found in the mercy of God.
The chapter culminates with Jesus telling His disciples that He will suffer, die, and rise again on the third day. The resurrection isn't an afterthought—it's the reason salvation is possible at all. What is impossible with man is possible with God.
In this episode of I Might Be Wrong with Travis, we explore Luke 18 as one unified story pointing us toward our need for grace, the certainty of Christ's resurrection, and the hope of the Gospel.
If this conversation encourages or challenges you, consider subscribing and sharing the episode with someone who could use the reminder that salvation has always been God's work, not ours.

  • Faith Isn’t What You Think It Is
We’ve been taught—whether directly or indirectly—that real faith doesn’t question.
That if you truly trust God, there’s no doubt, no hesitation, no tension.
But when you actually read Scripture… that’s not what you see.
From Abraham—the one called the father of faith—to the people Jesus meets in the New Testament, faith and doubt don’t seem to cancel each other out. They often show up at the same time.
So what if we’ve misunderstood faith?
What if it’s not about certainty…
but about where—even in the middle of questions—you’re willing to stay?
This episode wrestles with that tension.

  • God Became Human… and Never Went Back

Most people think Christianity is about getting to heaven.
But that’s not where it starts.
It starts with something far more disruptive:
    that God became human.
    Not symbolically.
Not temporarily.
Not as an idea.
    Actually.
    And I might be wrong…
but I think we’ve heard that so many times
that we’ve stopped thinking about what it really means.
    Because if that’s true—
    then it changes everything.
In this episode, I walk through:
    what the incarnation actually is
why it mattered so much to the early church
and what it means that Jesus didn’t stop being human
    He lived as a human.
He died as a human.
He rose as a human.
And right now—
He is seated at the right hand of God
as a human being.
    So this isn’t just theology.
    This is about:
    who God is
what it means to be human
and why your life might matter more than you think
    And I might be wrong…
but I don’t think the problem is that God feels far away.
I think we’re just looking for Him in the wrong places.

  • The Parable of the Talents Isn’t About Your Talents
Most Christians have heard the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25 explained as a lesson about using our gifts and abilities.
But the word talent in Jesus’ time didn’t mean skills or natural ability. It meant a massive amount of money — a treasure entrusted to servants while the master was away.
So what if the parable isn’t about our talents at all?
In this episode of I Might Be Wrong, we take a deeper look at Matthew 25:14–30 and explore the possibility that the treasure Jesus is talking about is actually the Kingdom of God itself.
And if that’s true, then the warning in the parable may not be about wasting the treasure…
It may be about burying it.
What happens when the Gospel is treated as something to protect rather than something meant to be shared?

  • The Outsider Who Understood Jesus Better Than His Followers
This episode explores the story of the Samaritan woman at the well in Gospel of John chapter 4, and how it connects directly to the message of John 3:16–17.
We often quote John 3:16 as a statement about salvation, but in John’s Gospel the meaning becomes visible in real time through Jesus’ encounter with a Samaritan woman — someone who stood outside the boundaries of religion, culture, and respectability.
    And yet something surprising happens.
While the disciples struggle to understand what Jesus is doing, the Samaritan woman becomes the one who carries the message to her entire town.
In many ways, she does what the disciples should have done.
This conversation at the well reveals something radical about the kingdom of God: the love described in John 3:16 was never meant to stay inside religious boundaries. It was always moving outward.

  • Did We Reverse Jesus’ Greatest Commandment?
In Luke 10, a lawyer asks Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?”
But what if we’ve been asking the wrong question?
In this episode, we explore the Good Samaritan, the Greatest Commandment, and a cultural shift that has quietly detached love of neighbor from love of God.
When empathy becomes the highest authority, do we redefine obedience in the name of compassion?
    • Can love exist apart from God?
    • Who gets to define what love actually is?
    • Did we reverse Jesus’ greatest commandment?
We look at Scripture, culture, and Christ as the true Neighbor — and why love without God eventually bends inward.
If love has no anchor, it becomes opinion.
    With God, it becomes life.

  • Redefining Humanity: Identity and Life In Christ
Who am I in Christ? Too many of us live under shame, fear, or old identities we weren’t meant to carry. In this episode, we unpack Jesus’ baptism, the meaning of being in Christ, and how God has already chosen humanity. Discover how identity shapes life—and why belonging changes everything.

  • Grace vs performance
In this episode, we walk through Ephesians 2:8–9 and explore why so many Christians struggle with a performance-based faith, even though the Bible says salvation is a gift, not something we earn.
    We talk about:
What it really means to be saved by grace through faith
Why Christians feel pressure to perform for God
The difference between self-improvement and resurrection
Why many believers are still fighting a battle Jesus already won
How to live from victory instead of striving for approval
If you’ve ever felt like Christianity has become heavy, overwhelming, or exhausting, this episode reframes salvation as rescue, not effort — and invites you to rest in Christ’s finished work.
This conversation is for anyone wrestling with guilt, shame, burnout, or the feeling that they’re “never quite doing enough,” despite believing in grace.https://buymeacoffee.com/imightbewrongpodcast

  • Chosen and Loved
What does it actually mean to be chosen, predestined, and loved?
In this episode, we explore Ephesians 1:3–14 and what Paul teaches about identity in Christ — not as pressure, but as freedom.
    Chosen in Christ.
    Adopted on purpose.
    Redeemed and forgiven.
    Sealed by the Spirit.
If you’ve wrestled with spiritual anxiety, performance-based faith, or fear about where you stand with God, this episode offers clarity, calm, and hope.
