We sit down with our first business out of Catoosa Oklahoma on the historic Route 66! Route 66 Candy Store. We get to know a little about Chad Moore the owner of the store and find out how they got involved in the candy business! He and his Wife run this amazing little candy store together as a family. And when I say as a family I mean as a family because you can most time catch their 3 kids up there helping out around the store. This little candy store is gaining a lot of attention for its amazing selection and affordable prices. Its one of the only bulk candy stores in our area. We talk to the amazing Tanya Andrews who has spent the last 20 years with Visit Claremore and 10 years as the Director of the Claremore Expo! She truly loves Claremore and the people of Claremore. Her work is all about making Claremore and Rogers County for everyone! Working on bringing in events to our area and promoting the small businesses and all the great stuff we have here in Claremore. This week we set up in Three Twenty On Main in the Lilac District in downtown Claremore! Boots on the Boulevard was going on, the first Food Truck Thursday of the season! We got to talk to some familiar faces and a few new ones! We got to talk to a couple business owners and got to talk to a couple of the Board Members of the Main Street! Lots of fun! I got to sit down and talk with Nickia Barbee and Freddie Kiddy parents of Logan Thaxton, a 14 year old that needs a kidney transplant. He has struggled with a rare kidney disease that has made it to where they are not working properly and need a transplant. I can’t even imagine the feelings they feel. But instead of feeling hopeless and giving up are doing everything in their power to find someone to donate a kidney! I don’t want to toot my own horn but I’m a pretty good judge of character and these two have a such amazing hearts! And love that boy! The episode will be out this Friday! I came close a couple times to crying but just got choked up. But guys even if you are not a match someone you may know is! And not only that they could really use some help! They own a business called RO-CO Roofing and Construction LLC. Give them a call if you need any kind of remodeling, repairs to your roof! They can help! Also we will be working with them to get a place to help donate.

If you are from Claremore you remember back in 2022, we got a huge surprise when they found a 9 foot alligator in Claremore Lake! Fish and game caught and put him down. So Jackson and his fiance Sarah decided the needed to have a candle light virgule for the now name Al E. Gator. with their surprise the event blew up on social media. That candle light virgule has now turned into GatorFest! A fun way to remember Al and bring the community together for free fun family time! And it has only grown from there. This is year 3 of the festival. With hopes to become a staple event for the area. Lots of fun and great music, so you will not want to miss this! We talk about all things GatorFest and learn how they got it started and what the hopes for the future holds for the event! May 18th 2024!

This Special Episode we sit down with some amazing people who are going to be an out of the box idea for raising funds for our local nonprofit SafeNet Services! This Amazing individual will be climbing 14 miles up and back down in Colorado Mount Elbert in August 2024. We talk with them and hear the Meaningful reason behind why they are doing this climb! This is a huge project and will take lots of training and effort to make this happen and they have all been given a target to raise $14,000 each to help bridge the gaps in the reduction from state and other services that help fund SafeNet almost a $130,000 deficit!
