Your 20s are a period when you're finding out what you want to do with your life. You've graduated from adolescence to adulthood, but you're not yet fully immersed in the duties of adulthood. You're full of energy and possibilities as you take off towards the future. However, you're at an age where life's uncertainties and heartaches can leave you feeling deflated and depleted. So, how can you deal with all of these ups and downs and put yourself on the road to a happy and meaningful life?
Recently I realized that "you don't have to go through life alone" it's all for one and one for all. Family, friends, and even strangers can help you through some of your life troubles and also guide you. We live in a world where people say so much without saying anything, too much pretense and silence to avoid hurting feelings but the real truth is, the need to preserve peace at all cost is what breeds war. Basic education should include how to interact with one another, if not properly but with the hope of achieving something reasonable. Our society should be filled with peace and happiness, given what we all go through individually it's almost impossible to achieve such fantasy. I believe something can be done or maybe we try to do something. We must identify the problem before we decide on how to work on it. One of the problems is Trauma. Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible event like an accident, rape, or natural disaster. Immediately after the event, shock and denial are typical. Longer-term reactions include unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships, and even physical symptoms like headaches or nausea. In this episode, you'll be listening to myself and a friend (Labake) talk about what trauma is, how to identify, and things to do about it. I'm hoping this can help shed more light on some situations and help us all learn and grow. Have fun listening.
