you wanna know why I fuck with this new friend of mine so much? She called my on my shit when she first met me and didn't realize it (LOL).
When I met Robyn, we were both in New York for New York fashion week. we were just having causal conversation, talking about social media and just our journey with it. we of course stumbled on the topic of dealing with imposter syndrome. I start telling her how I deal with ADHD and tremendous imposter syndrome and she replies with "really? I would have had no idea!"
and thats where it all changed for me. she was right - I preach about being who you want to be and how important it is, and upon looking at my social media, I felt that I didn't share enough about myself.. I swore I wouldn't die as a hair dresser. I didn't want my social media to be all hair dresser bullshit, and turns out it was more then I thought.
that comment made me shift and I truly am forever grateful for it. I value Robyn for her honesty, and her efforts to being the truest version of herself. she opens up about how she made it in this career field, how it's affected her, and what she also deals with mentally.
she also talks about being a non-toxic, plastic free stylist and what that looks like for her! I found this so amazing because I totally know the struggle to do that, and her conscious efforts do not go unnoticed.
Robyn is definitely the needle in the haystack, the diamond in the rough. there needs to be more Robyns.

With 14 years experience, I've taken classes from Jayne Matthews, Nick Arrojo and Michael O' Rourke. It's my intention to help revolutionize this industry to be more inclusive and sustainable. I believe we have to get uncomfortable to make room for growth and opportunity. Building true community means getting vulnerable - and I think that's a superpower we can all use if we choose to.”
