Jason is a deacon (and probably shouldn't be) because he thinks people are weird and gross. Both guys have helped the elderly in the past and they're frankly surprised that they still get asked by them to help. Finally, Jason's initial reaction to one of his congregants passing away is to deny and set up a Weekend at Bernie's situation. Wacky hijinks ensure!
