Since the release of the initial episodes of the podcast, Pam has been taking direct action to help others who are affected by trauma, sexual assault, trafficking and abuse. She has been volunteering in an outreach program that offers assistance to cis and transgendered women on the street with the organization 1DL2H. In this audio clip, you will hear Pam telling the story of her early adulthood, her struggle to manage the impact of her trauma, and her discovery of the importance of community. She was asked to speak publicly about her experiences at a fundraiser for several of the programs run by 1DL2H.
