In this week's podcast, our guest Chelsea, shares what led to the birth of her new candle business, Night Lights Company. When Covid 19 closed everything down, she had been working at a brewery and had to rethink how to make money. She said that when she was off of work for several months, she began to explore options of a business she could do from home. She said that she watched several videos and was intrigued about the idea of making her own candles. She said she spent time researching and then went to her support network for affirmation and ideas. They felt she was on to something good, and she bought the supplies out of her savings she had put aside for something special. She started making candles in her one-bedroom apartment and put them out to friends, family and then to markets around her area. She ended up getting connected with one of her current partners who suggested she place her candles in the boutique, Laura of Pembroke. Her candles sold out quickly and this was the start of growing her business. Listen to how Chelsea navigated being a 25-year-old business owner who has a growing business while valuing the mistakes she has made.
