Yes, your dad should want that, and it's important. But he shouldn't be the only person in your life with that goal for you.

Good mentors, coaches, and trainers should be guiding you to so the same. That's part of being a leader. You want those under your guidance to be the best they can be. If not, you're the problem as the fake leader.
