Somewhere along the way we let go of the power of the written word. Not all of us, of course, but it's undeniable that society today relies less on telling heartfelt stories in a way they once did. With 280 character limits and the immediacy of social media in general the lost art of putting pen to paper seems to be left to generations past.
But words matter. Using the 'right' words matters. Sitting with our thoughts and feelings can help us find our thoughts and feelings and put them into words. Cheyenne is a copywriter, she helps small businesses choose the words to represent their business. But she also encourages those with the inclination to use the written word in expressing themselves personally.
This lighthearted conversation was a long time coming. I enjoyed it so much. Here's Cheyenne's Facebook.
In the episode I mentioned a local photographer Lisa Scoville. She's creating powerful images, telling the stories of those in her community as they deal, upfront with the Covid19 crisis. Please visit her page.
