I really do feel like I'm in a Month of Modular©.

In a kind-of continuation of yesterday's jam, which was built around a Behringer Crave (horrible name/ great synth) into the finally-built tape and microsound music machine, today I brought in the teenage engineering PO 400. Did some semi-random patching on it this morning and got a cool square wave repeating oscillator from the lfo. And immediately jumped up, put it into the tape and microsound music machine, recorded a short reel. The piece starts out fully right on the Morphagene then goes to about 60/40.

Some pretty interesting sounds here.

Finally finished cobbling together a tape and microsounds make noise rack. Here is: acoustic guitar thru said system and over a drone I made with the same acoustic guitar, live to "tape." A fella could work this set-up for a lifetime and never come up with the same thing twice.

Used the same modular system for yesterday which is morphagene, qpas, and mimeophon + a behringer crave. I think a lot of people look down on the crave (horrible name), but it's wonderful. Oddly the crave sits better on the desk than a Moog mother 32. Like a cascade down from my skiff case. So anyway, I went with the basic patch that the crave comes with backed by a reel which started as an acoustic guitar. Same reel from yesterday just went a little deeper smudge-wise.

trying to do something not so sleep-inducing for am meditations. the idea here is to have enough interesting things to listen to with just enough going on. + occasional harshness really centers (aka wakes your a$$ up). wrapped up listening to the music-this' all that's going on for 12 minutes. acoustic guitar > morphagene > qpass > mimeophon

random Wednesday night studio jam stretching the legs of push 3, sting2 and dyad. this may be the set up for a while. nice and easy.

Op1f, 4 tracks ableton note, and an old tonic drum machine, all thru the zoom l6 mixer, which is just as handy as possible

I've been really trying to combine acoustic instruments with electronic and voice and wanting to bring all that together. So it happened I forgot my computer at work, and I did this whole thing on the OP-1 field (think modern, all-in-one 4-track). And it just turned out--well, it's something I'm really happy with.
