In this episode, I do a deeper dive into one of Jesus’ most famous parables of The Good Samaritan. I talk about what a Samaritan is and how the controversy of this hero should influence our view of neighbor. Then I discuss my thoughts on what it means for us to be a neighbor to our friends and our enemies. In this time of chaos within our culture, there doesn’t seem to be a more appropriate time to think about what it means to be a good neighbor.
The Good Samaritan can be found in Luke 10:25-37.
In this episode, I discuss my experience at the October General Conference of 2019. I also discuss some pitfalls of interfaith dialogue that I notice are common practice. I talk about the issue that I see with tracts and why I believe there are better options for telling others about our worldview.
