Jane Castor is the 59th Mayor of the City of Tampa. Born and raised in Tampa Florida, Jane graduated from Chamberlain High School and attended the University of Tampa on an athletic scholarship.

She went on to join the Tampa Police Department and worked her way from a beat cop to Tampa’s first female Chief of Police. In 2019, Jane was elected as the first openly gay mayor in the City of Tampa  Jane currently resides in Seminole Heights with her longtime partner, Ana Cruz, and her two sons Sergei and Seely.

Dr. Denise Edwards, native of Florida, earned her Undergraduate in Finance from the University of Florida and her Medical degree from the USF School of Medicine.  She is the lead physician of the Pamela Muma Women’s Center at USF Health, a concierge medical practice.  In this episode Dr. Edwards talks about growing up in culturally strong family, her desire to study medicine to help others and what motivates her; “you tell me I can’t do something, I am going to do  it.”

John Sykes founded Sykes Enterprises in 1977 in his home town of Charlotte and later moved the company to its present headquarters in Tampa, Florida in 1993.The firm grew from its infancy to become one of the largest customer service support companies in the world

Since his retirement, Sykes has become active in the thoroughbred horse industry. Through Woodford Thoroughbreds, LLC, he has developed a successful enterprise with farm operations located in Versailles, Kentucky and Ocala, FL.  Woodford operates under the principals that made John Sykes so successful in his many businesses. There is a commitment to honesty and doing the right thing above all else. 

Kelly and Andy host Jeff Vinik, Jeff Vinik owns the Tampa Bay Lightning and is the leading developer behind the Water Street Tampa project. The Lightning’s success under Vinik has coincided with the emergence of a development company, Strategic Property Partners (SPP), LLC and its plan to develop approximately 60 acres in downtown Tampa’s south core into a new district entitled ‘Water Street Tampa’. SPP, a partnership between Vinik and Cascade Investment, LLC of Kirkland, Washington, is expecting to deliver approximately $3 billion in investment to bring Water Street Tampa to life and reinvent the blocks surrounding AMALIE Arena into a walkable, 24-7 live, work, play and stay wellness district. Vinik shares lessons learned over his incredibly successful career.
