The music came at you thick and fast on this mornings show. It kicked off with a track from the excellent “Chapter and Verse” E.P. from Deadlight Dance. The E.P itself is inspired by books that have had an influence on both Nick and Tim and there are some interesting thoughts behind the tracks on the E.P. , definitely worth checking out when you get the chance.

As well as Deadlight dance we had the latest offering from a band who ,if like me you hadn’t realised have been around for 30 years now. yes i couldn’t get my head round it, but it’s true the Foo Fighter made their first public appearance back in February 1995. The latest single pays homage to that as well as honouring past members who are sadly no longer with us.

This week’s Tee shirt choice is a mash up of my love for Kiss and the fact that some clever person made a kiss album tee shit but with the team colours of my favourite football team.

This also led on to a chat about how I have been known to dress as members of the band Kiss and actually go not just to parties dressed up but even trundle along to the local pub dressed up as gene Simmons. and just to prove the point here is the photo.

The show this week definitely had some interesting stuff on it that’s for sure. The start was sponsored by the letter C and that was purely by accident.

Tee shirt of the day this week was an inspired choice, as Hatchets had sent 3 new tracks in to me and are running a poll on their socials as to which one should be the next single. I chose to wear the Hatchets Tee. Last week I played “Legend of Pig Hill” and this week we had “Bottom Line”.

Now if you tune in on a regular basis you will know that I have a love of musicals and quite often reference Andrew Lloyd Webber’s work, especially his work with Ian Gillan, and this week was no exception as it was a great way to lead into the latest offering from the stage production work of Shot Full of Rock. Yes I know it wasn’t a Gillan fronted Deep Purple track that got played but that wasn’t the point.

There was also a chat about Pat Benatar and her cover of a song that was originally recorded by John Cougar Mellencamp which then prompted me to dig out the John Mellencamp version for comparison.

The playlist on the show this week didn’t exactly stick to plan. I mean I meant to but once you go off on a tangent what can you do but roll with it…..

So, This week we had a couple of tracks from The Beatles actually being done by The Beatles as opposed to covers, If you have caught my show before you’ll know why that distinction is important. anyway it’s a good excuse to use a picture of me with The Beatles Tee Shirt as Tee of the day.

As well as The Beatles, we had memories of 1988 and the time when Bruce Springsteen came to the U.K for the Tunnel of Love tour.

We also had some Block C flying the flag for the Irish rock scene.

Talking of memories we had a tip of the hat moment to fellow Hard Rock Hell Radio Jon Morter who occasionally tunes in, so I put on some Rage Against The Machine for him.

I’ve been lucky enough to bump into Jon at Hard Rock Hell Radio events and he is cracking laugh, with a bit of luck he will be at Great Yarmouth in November for HRH 18. This week was a blast from start to finish. I mean where can you get such an eclectic mix of artists to fill your morning with some absolute belting tunes. It was so eclectic we even had Robbie Williams on the playlist.

Tee shirt of the day , this week I dug out an old picture of me from a few years back when I was presenting a fund raising quiz that was attended by the one and only Mr Steve Grimmett of Grim Reaper. Don’t know what to laugh at first the fact I was Starting to go grey ( yes, I once had Hair that grew) or the fact that I got a t.v. growing out the side my head.

Talking of hair the subject of Wicked Smile’s Danny Cecati’s hair which if you have met him you will know is very long, came up.
