SINGAPORE (ICIS)—Asia Phenol and Acetone players have been rattled by the reduced supply, with South Korea’s Yeosu-based LG Chem’s production heard to have been cut to 60% following last week’s fire, amid turnarounds at Kumho P&B, Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals, and China’s Formosa Plastics. Derivative demand is also strong but the mood is weighed down by the scheduled capacity additions in China, with Shandong Lihuayi, Formosa Plastics and a restart pending at Zhejiang Petrochemicals.

In this episode of the ICIS Asia podcast, Jasmine Khoo speaks with Angeline Soh, editor for the Asia Phenol and Acetone market, on the Asian market's recent developments.
