I want to quickly clarify that my position on weaponizing privilege should not be taken as thoughtless white savior attention grabbing. Listen to black leaders for the best way to cooperate during demonstrations & when supporting causes. Black Lives Matter.

The first essay in this new series is Sarah Gailey's In Defense of Villainesses originally published on Tor.com: https://www.tor.com/2016/08/09/in-defense-of-villainesses/

My good friend & former podcast guest Kelly Chase recommended this essay & I loved it. More of Sarah's work can be found here: http://www.sarahgailey.com/

so The Economy, which up to this point has been entirely propped up by magic & the exploitation of overworked, underpaid workers, now demands more lifeblood of its workers & most vulnerable to keep producing shit we never needed in the first place at the expense of things we've always needed. but don't dare call these life saving workers "essential" because that would mean we would have to pay them more than crumbs so they can continue to participate in the same Economy that doesn't care if they die. that never did.

we woke up to Wednesday Morning 3AM on a Sunday & it was epic breakfast & it was bright outside. the coffee was pressed, the juice was pressed, we were barely dressed. it was time for bacon, then hashbrowns, then eggs over easy or softly scrambled still gooey nearly alive...

This episode is all about some good news I've come across & wanted to share. One of my clients, Antiwar.com, saw a huge legal victory after being called traitors a whole lot after 9/11.

Also: Men Are Over If You Want It! No not you, just men who can't compete in the free marketplace of ideas.

More praise for our future Queen Lizzo. Can I get a crossover with her & the Queer Eye guys already??? (Oh I know about her JVN interview, I'm saying she could be a 6th).

First released during Pride Month in June of 2019 & you know I'm proud as hell to be able to celebrate it this year. It wasn't always the case. Several years ago, I went back into the closet because I feared for my safety & was worn down by an abusive marriage. This episode covers that period of time.

The culture warriors have gone hard with these abortion bans. We're gonna have to go harder. Being right never feels good when lives are on the line--this is what I warned about when I talked about the backlash to the #MeToo movement. And it's not going to stop with abortion bans. I make a few predictions and give actionable ways you can help people in these oppressive states.

**Correction: The female governor who signed the abortion ban was in Alabama not Georgia.
