In one of the most requested episodes to date, I have a conversation with Dr. Bingham who is practicing in Middletown, Connecticut. Anne has a very unique connection to this movement having married into a family that has done phenomenal work in progressing this message of lifestyle medicine. And the hint is: this family or rather this doctor is also on the podcast. Like Dr. Bingham has said many time, Obstetrics and Gynecology is not necessarily the first choice people think of for diet and lifestyle advice. But, she says the body of evidence is only growing and many of the overarching recommendations applied in more traditional lifestyle related specialties like cardiology and endocrinology can also be applied to OBGYN and female, maternal and infant health.  Some of the topics we cover include gestational diabetes and hypertension, infertility, Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis, Miscarriages and Raising children on a WFPB lifestyle. I then challenge Dr. Bingham to sell this growing field to a group of her peers and colleagues as well as address larger issues to solve our health crisis if she had all the power in the world. I’d like to thank our newest patrons, John Davis and Killian Burns. John is an active member and contributor to the Plant-based Cyclist Facebook page and Killian Burns was a classmate in Undergrad.
