This podcast was recorded during a professional workshop assessment piece at our university, Christian Heritage College, Brisbane, Australia. The aim was to present an innovative ICT idea that could be used in the classroom. We chose Google Earth and explored it's use in the KLA's of Year 5 ICT and SOSE (QSA Curriculum).

Jing is an amazing, free application available from Techsmith and can do wonders in the classroom. It is a screencasting application that is PC and Mac compatible. Web based software tools provide access to learning both inside the classroom and out. There are many different web-based tools available for use in education. The one we will specifically be looking at today is a tool designed to enrich the learning experience. Quia allows educators to create their own quizzes and activities that can be shared with other teachers.

Adobe Flash Player is a tecnological innovation that is used in classrooms around the world. It is used by Youtube and different interactive learning websites to run their program. It has a place in the classroom and is a great tool for learning. Please take a moment of your time to learn more about ways to use this wonderful innovation in your classroom.

Australian children are now being equipped with the knowledge and skill to utilise technology in the classroom, in particular 'blogging'. Many teachers have recognized the benefits of blogging in the classroom and have begun to implement blogging as part of their curriculum. Blogging enables students with the proper framework and necessary skills to communicate in the workplace.
