some dark ambient drone created in response to disquiet0720:

I chose 2 recent unfinished tracks, that I had considered layering prior to the disquiet prompt… so I did just that, I set up 2 channels one for each track, one slowed by 10% to roughly match the longer track, I simply adjusted levels for each and had a shared bus channel with additional eq and reverb(s), this in turn joins the originals in the master, which also has some lofi fx and more(!) reverb… recorded the output. “Disquiet Junto Project 0680: Reverse Resolution

The Assignment: Finish something (musical) you started last year.

This project has just one step: finish something you started last year, likely a piece of music you left unfinished.”

I chose 2 tracks I had left to complete from January 2024…

I noticed the tempo of each of the tracks were 24bpm & 48bpm, also one track was exactly half the length of the other…

I decided to layer these : one track slowed to half speed to match the other longer track…with additional EQing and a little reverb, some sprinkles of dust and noise…

A note attached to one of the tracks:

“Imagine if a piece of flotsam could tell you the tale of its journey…”
