He is also a visiting scientist at Leibniz University Hannover where he works on integrating epistemology and ethics with regulatory/policy considerations in biotechnology and translational biomedicine.

Arash Ahmadi was born in Shiraz, Iran, in 1989. During high school, he became interested in Physics and Astronomy, and even though he was enrolled as a student in the Mechanical Engineering department, he changed his major to Physics in the middle of the way. After finishing the undergraduate studies, he went to Canada for Master and PhD studies. Immigration, even though being at most times harsh, painful, and challenging, gave him the opportunity to explore some aspects of life which were not easily accessible back home. Aspects which have made him question various beliefs and goals he was raised with. About six months ago, he experienced another immigration, and this time from Canada to Germany, and is currently working as a researcher in the Technical University of Munich."
