When it comes to politics, why is it that Christianity seems to lack empathy? Jesus came to show love to the widow,  orphan,  prostitute,  tax collector, the outsider, the marginalised and oppressed... Why cant I see any of these values in any of the policies represented by major Christian political parties and figures, and why is it that Christians seem to vote against their own moral code?

In this episode we speak with an Australian Buddhist about how accepting the principle of "conditional arising" and how it explains... everything and ultimately leads to 'enlightenment'. Siladasa grew up christian but was drawn to Buddhism at a young age as he searched for 'more'.  Siladasa believes that a lack of societal awareness of this principle might be part of the explanation as to why we are unable to take meaningful steps towards solving large scale social issue, like climate change and poverty. Is Buddhism the only way to 'enlightenment?' are Christians wrong?
