  • Elon Musk Thinks the West Needs Christianity - Why? With Vishal Mangalwadi

Is God using Vishal Mangalwadi to disciple Jordan Peterson, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Tom Holland, and Elon Musk? Today, we discover the transformative power of Christianity on Western civilization through the eyes of Indian Bible scholar and good friend Vishal Mangalwadi. Join us as Mangalwadi unravels the often-overlooked impact of the Bible on modern life. Although many in the West have taken values such as freedom, justice, free speech, forgiveness, the list goes on, for granted, a future in which these values are canceled is becoming a reality. We've recently noticed a resurgence in people who realize these values are essential to Western civilization’s future and go on to connect these virtues directly to the Bible. In the last couple of years, Mangalwadi has played an interesting role in helping non-Christian leaders such as Jordan Peterson, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Tom Holland, and even Elon Musk make this connection between the rich history of Western civilization and the Bible. During this discussion, you will hear Mangalwadi's thoughts on why this revival in Biblical values is happening now, how Christians can support and encourage this movement, and an admonishment to hold fast to a biblical vocabulary under pressure. Our conversation is an invitation to reassess the past and reclaim the biblical underpinnings of Western achievements, providing a more nuanced and comprehensive understanding of our civilization's foundations. This episode is a compelling examination of the intertwining threads of faith, history, ideas, and the future trajectory of Western civilization.

  • Needed! Boldness and Discernment in an Era of Distortion

Are we losing sight of truth in a culture smothered by falsehoods? Even within the church, according to Barna, 41% of American Christians believe that the only truth a person can know is whatever is right for them individually. In this episode we want to help arm you with an understanding of why truthfulness is not just a noble virtue but a critical armor in today's culture, especially for Christians navigating through the fog of misinformation. We tackle the potent blend of social media and deceptive narratives head-on, addressing the alarmingly popular theories of evolution, and the pressing need for Christians to be the lighthouses of truth as we sail into uncharted waters. Our discussion extends into the societal impact of weaponized propaganda, through the 1619 project, the BLM movement, the social contagion of the sex and gender ideologies, the Covid origins, and the current events in the Gaza strip. Join us as we explore ways to grasp the framework or lens through which we can discern the narratives shaping our public consciousness. The solution is not ignorance, self censorship, doublethink, or winsomeness. The solution is found in the very essence of truth as embodied in Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life.

  • Christianity is Good for the Nation with Dennis Peacocke and Katherine Gallagher

Christians are increasingly criticized for their opinions in the public square and often labeled as Christian nationalists. But should this criticism cause us to retract our opinions and retreat? Or is Christian cultural engagement exactly what our nations need?  We are called to faithfully reflect Christ not only in our personal lives, but everywhere–in our families, churches, workplaces, and yes, truth must even influence politics, and our work in public institutions and culture. Our guests, Dennis Peacocke and Katherine Gallagher from our affiliate organization, GoStrategic, help us consider strategies and practical ways that we can meaningfully engage in these areas for Christ, and for the nations.

  • Why Jordan Peterson, Ayaan Hirsi Ali & Others are Turning to Christianity

The Western world has been described as a cut flower. This flower was beautiful and flourishing while rooted in a Judeo-Christian worldview, and yet, as it became increasingly secular and rejected God, it cut itself off from its roots. Today, the flower still looks good, but it will soon wither and die if nothing changes.

In this episode, we look at the increasing number of former atheists, Muslims, and agnostics who are calling out the erosion of Western civilization along with its former values of human rights, justice, and freedom. These people–including Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Jordan Peterson, Douglas Murray, Tom Holland, and more–are understanding that these Western values came from the Bible.

If Western society rejects God, it will also lose the virtuous and moral framework that created its foundation. This realization is leading to an awakening. It is a unique journey that has led people from an analysis of the culture and the West to the cross.

Join us as we unpack the roots that nourished the West. We consider the incredibly good impact the Bible can have on culture and the devastation we can anticipate when it’s rejected. We live in a pivotal moment in history. The consequences of rejecting God are evident in our society, providing us with a fresh opportunity to promote goodness, truth, and beauty, rooted in the Bible once again.

  • Homelessness and The Tragedy of American Compassion with Dr. Marvin Olasky

America’s secular approach to fighting poverty has been a disaster, yet we can learn a lot from how Christians helped the poor successfully 200 years ago. If you want to make a difference on the poverty in your community, you need to join us as we feature Dr. Marvin Olasky, a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute, the former editor of World Magazine, and the author of The Tragedy of American Compassion. Olasky’s passion for this topic led him to live in a homeless community in Missouri recently. Our conversation underscores the significance of personal involvement, community, and family in combating poverty, as opposed to bureaucratic solutions and handouts alone. Further, we discuss the dignity of work and the need for employment to uplift those in poverty. Join us and discover what it truly means to live out our faith by loving our neighbors on the streets of our towns.

  • Do Other Worldviews Value Thankfulness?

Thankfulness is a focus in many American homes in the month of November. But have you ever considered that thankfulness is not a universally valued characteristic? Not to mention that the amount of gratitude we see on a daily basis actually seems to be decreasing today.

How does one’s sense of privilege or status result in a lack of gratitude toward others? How does belief in the significance of each person’s life cultivate gratitude within a person? Does belief in the goodness and sovereignty of God inspire thankfulness in the midst of trying times?

Our office team gathered together to reflect on these questions and share our favorite biblical passages about the priority and results of thankfulness in the Christian life. We discussed why the biblical worldview places such an emphasis on gratitude, and contrasted this with different worldviews. In conclusion, we considered how essential thankfulness is for building thriving, flourishing cultures in families, communities, and nations. Join us for this thoughtful and encouraging discussion!
