IDENTIFYING THE ENEMY | The Antichrist

Listen Later

He is not merely a future political figure; he is the embodiment of deception, empowered by Satan to counterfeit the Messiah and lead the world into rebellion against God.

Starting our series here is essential, for understanding his rise, methods, and global influence will illuminate the spiritual climate already unfolding around us. The Antichrist’s emergence will not be sudden—it will be strategic, seductive, and cloaked in false peace. By exposing his blueprint from the outset, we equip the remnant to recognize the signs, resist the lies, and remain anchored in truth as the final hour approaches.

Many believers today dismiss the urgency of identifying the Antichrist and preparing for persecution, assuming they will be raptured out before any real suffering begins.

While the hope of the Rapture is biblically sound, this assumption often breeds spiritual complacency and leaves the Body of Messiah vulnerable to deception. What many fail to calculate are the birth pangs—those intensifying trials, tribulations, and global hostilities—that will precede the Antichrist’s full unveiling. These pangs are not reserved for the unbelieving world; they will touch the lives of authentic Christians in profound ways. Silencing, imprisonment, economic exclusion, and even martyrdom are already escalating. To ignore this reality is to risk being unprepared in the hour when discernment and endurance are most needed. The remnant must awaken—not to fear, but to readiness.

THE ANTICHRIST’S BACK STORY

Scripture warns that in the final hour, Satan will indwell a human man—one who rises not with grotesque evil, but with seductive charm, worldly wisdom, and the appearance of peace.

This man, the Antichrist, will be handsome, persuasive, and politically brilliant—a “man with the plan” who captivates the nations with promises of unity and prosperity. Yet beneath his charisma lies the spirit of the dragon, for he will be empowered by Satan himself to deceive, dominate, and destroy. “The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders” (2 Thessalonians 2:9, ESV). He will mimic the Messiah, counterfeit miracles, and demand worship, drawing many into apostasy. The remnant must be discerning, for this man will not appear as a monster, but as a savior—until his mask is removed and the world trembles at the beast it embraced.

Before his fall, Satan—originally known as Lucifer—held a position of unmatched beauty, wisdom, and authority among the heavenly host.

As a guardian cherub, he walked in the very presence of God, adorned with splendor and entrusted with great responsibility (Ezekiel 28:12–15). Yet pride corrupted his heart. Desiring to ascend above the throne of the Most High and be like God Himself, Lucifer led a rebellion, drawing a third of the angels into his insurrection (Isaiah 14:12–15; Revelation 12:4). For this treason, he was cast out of heaven and hurled to the earth—a realm that became not only his prison, but also his domain of deception, destruction, and defiance. Since that fall, Satan has roamed the earth as the “god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4), seeking to devour, deceive, and derail the purposes of God. His judgment is sealed, but his fury is fierce, for he knows his time is short (Revelation 12:12).

Cast out of heaven and confined to earth, Satan has never abandoned his ambition to usurp God’s throne.

His rebellion was not merely a moment of pride—it was the birth of a long, calculated revenge against the Creator and His image-bearers. Stripped of his heavenly position, Satan now seeks to defile the very planet God created and possesses a man who will embody his hatred, cunning, and counterfeit the image of Yeshua, God’s Son. This man—the Antichrist—will rise as the ultimate vessel of Satan’s vengeance, charming the masses, uniting nations, and demanding worship. Through him, Satan will attempt to hijack global governance, desecrate holy truth, and persecute the pure bloodline Jews with unprecedented fury. It is not just a political takeover—it is a spiritual war for dominion. But the Jewish remnant must remember: this revenge is temporary, and the Lamb will return to reclaim what is His. Until then, we must be watchful, wise, and unwavering.

Satan’s “man of lawlessness,” the Antichrist, as Scripture vividly portrays, is the “Beast rising out of the sea,” a symbol of chaotic nations and political upheaval.

“And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads” (Revelation 13:1, ESV).

This figure emerges from the masses, empowered by the dragon—Satan himself—to deceive, dominate, and demand worship. The ten horns represent global alliances, while the blasphemous names reveal his hatred for God and His people. This beast is not merely symbolic; he is a real, possessed man who will rise to power through charm, strategy, and supernatural deception. His authority will be vast, his persecution fierce, and his reign short-lived—until the true King, Yeshua, returns to destroy him with the breath of His mouth (2 Thessalonians 2:8).

The “man of lawlessness”—cannot rise to global power until God sovereignly removes the restraint that holds him back. “And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time” (2 Thessalonians 2:6, ESV). Though Satan longs to unveil his counterfeit messiah, he is bound by divine timing.

The Antichrist’s emergence is not random, nor is it dictated by human events—it is permitted only when God opens the door for prophetic fulfillment.

Until that appointed hour, the spirit of lawlessness will continue to prepare the world, but the man himself remains in the shadows. This truth reminds us that even in the darkest unfolding of end-time events, God remains in absolute control. The rise of the Antichrist is not a sign of God’s absence—it is a sign of His precision.

A JEW HATER

The Antichrist will rise with a venomous hatred for both Jews and authentic Christians—one that surpasses every tyrant and persecutor in world history. Likely making use of the Rapture as proof of his eradicating the Gentile Christians. Scripture reveals that he will wage war against the saints (Revelation 13:7) and desecrate the holy covenant (Daniel 11:30), targeting those who hold fast to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and those (144,000 pure bloodline Jews) who follow Yeshua in truth. His fury will be relentless, his deception masterful, and his cruelty unmatched. Unlike past oppressors who operated within limited regions or eras, this man will orchestrate a global campaign of spiritual genocide—seeking to erase every trace of biblical faith from the earth. His hatred is not political; it is satanic, fueled by the ancient war against God’s chosen people and the Body of Messiah. The remnant must be prepared, for this will be a persecution like no other.

Scripture reveals that the Antichrist will not appear in full power until the great apostasy—the widespread falling away from truth—reaches its peak.

“Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed…” (2 Thessalonians 2:3, ESV).

As churches dilute doctrine, believers compromise holiness, and society embraces spiritual lawlessness, the stage is set for the ultimate deceiver to step out from the shadows. He will rise not in chaos, but in counterfeit peace, offering solutions to a world weary of conviction and hungry for unity. This emergence will be celebrated by many, even within religious circles, as the apostate spirit blinds hearts to the truth. The remnant must be vigilant, for when compromise becomes the norm, the Antichrist will be welcomed as a savior—while waging war against the true saints of Yeshua.

BIRTH PANGS LEADING UP TO HIS REIGN

While we will detail this topic in later posts, the birth pangs leading up to the Antichrist are intensifying global signs—spiritual, political, and natural—that signal his imminent rise and the nearing end of the age.

These prophetic contractions, described by Yeshua in Matthew 24:6–8, are not random—they are divinely permitted warnings that the final deception is approaching.

Identifying the Enemy 2026 could be the most strategic prophetic map available for enduring the trials leading up to the Rapture.

SPECIAL NOTE: These birth pangs are not the Tribulation itself, but they are its precursors—painful contractions that signal the world is nearing its final confrontation. The Antichrist will not step onto a chaotic stage; he will emerge as the solution to chaos. The remnant must be awake, discerning, and anchored in truth, for the contractions are growing stronger—and the counterfeit messiah is almost ready to be revealed.
