If you believe you are something, it's likely your actions will fall in line with those beliefs. If you believe you’re a runner, you'll most likely go running on a regular basis. If you believe you’re a reader, you’ll most likely love reading and read a ton of books. On the contrary, if you don’t believe you’re a runner or a reader, you won’t do those things.
If you feel down about something in your life. If you tell yourself that you’re not a morning person. Or if you tell yourself that you’re not a gym person. You’re probably feeling down because you want to identify as being those things.
Try changing your personal narrative. Start telling yourself that you ARE a morning person. Start telling yourself that you ARE a person who loves going to the gym and eventually you will start to become those things.
