True righteousness can only be found in the One who is Righteous – Jesus Christ. Once a convert receives Christ into their lives, they become the Righteousness of Christ (2 Cor. 5:21). Self-righteousness is a fleshly and ungodly form of humans mustering up their own rightness before God and man (Rom. 10:3).
