As far as translations are concerned, I am well aware of the difficulties, including the
completely wrong interpretation of the word tin god [replica of a so-called god], which is wrongly
interpreted as idol, but which is fundamentally wrong, as our linguists have explained to me.
An idol can never be compared to a tin god just such cannot be compared to an idol.
