Avery Hollister is a little more than absentminded. She has trouble remembering faces, names, and dates without her piles of lists and Post-it notes. When she heads off to college it takes her a week to realize the guy she's crushing on is, in fact, three different guys. With a faulty memory and three men who have no idea she's mixed them up, Avery doesn't know how to fix the mess she's made. But she knows she has to try, even if it means losing a love not even she could forget.

Avery Is Unforgettable
If I Forget You is a fabulous, honest novel about a girl with a horrible memory and how that so strongly impacts her life and relationships. Avery was real and sincere, flawed and yet trying to improve herself. The guys she accidentally mistook for one person are all awesome (though not all "nice") and different--once she gets to know them, of course. With both sizzling moments and those that tear your heart out, If I Forget You is sure to stay with you long after you read it.
Recommended for readers who like upper YA contemporary or those who are looking for New Adult titles with less bedroom scenes. Also, if you are a foodie, Argyle always takes the time to make you crave the food her characters eat. This time? Seattle's cream cheese hot dogs--I must try one after reading this!
... YOU simultaneously broke my heart and made me so happy. In the book world
IF I FORGET YOU simultaneously broke my heart and made me so happy. In the book world, it takes a lot for me to cry. (Whereas in the movie world, I cry all the time. I'm weird.) This book definitely got the tears flowing. I love Avery's character and related to her. While I haven't had a lifetime struggle with memory, some recent health issues did bring about foggy brain and difficulty remembering random things. I embarrassed myself many times with thinking two people were the same person, with forgetting the name of someone I knew very well as she talked right to my face, with racking my brain as to whether or not I had fed my kids lunch, etc. It's a frustrating and, at times, panic-inducing feeling. Needless to say, Avery holds a special place in my heart. I loved this story.
I wish I could forget or at least recover the time I spend reading this book.
I have learn to say nothing if it's talking bad about something and these is the case. I spend almost a year trying to finish these book because it was, in lack of a nicer word, boring. I hope I don't offend anyone, there may be someone that like it.
Sweet story
I liked the story. Definitely different than anything I've ever read before. However I wasn't a fan of abrupt ending.
I'm sorry but no
The story had such promise but I felt like I was just going through the motions reading it. Too much happened, too much drama and still the characters did not evolve at all. Avery was really unlikable and so selfcentered. Whiney and just that kind of heroine I have a problem dealibg with.
