**Sweet, Sizzling, Hot**
The author, Nana Prah has done it again! Her writing is tight and flows on each turn of the page.
Destiny Mine comes alive with the pains and struggles of a proficient nurse and a extremely handsome doctor. Esi, a dedicated nurse is looking for romance, yet, she can't seem to find the right person. In walks the delicious Doctor Adam Quarshie. Gorgeous, attractive, and not looking for love per se. He's loving all the woman, one at a time.
Esi knows Adam is a player and rebukes all his advances. However, a deep attraction to this diligent doctor sets her heart hammering. Soon she discovers there's more to Adam beyond his stellar looks.
Adam's not interested in a lasting relationship, or so he thinks. But the beautiful Esi's turning his inside's to mush.
Ms. Prah has upped the heat in this romantic Destiny Series. Not exactly a sequel to Midwife to Destiny, Destiny Mine is a stand alone read. If you're searching for an excellent romantic book, I recommend Destiny Mine!
I was given an ARC (advanced reading copy) by the author for an honest review. Although, I loved it so much I bought the book for my kindle.
Great read
Destiny Mine (Book II of the Destiny Series) by Nana Prah stars one of my favorite characters from Midwife to Destiny (Book I), Esi Darfour. I even mention her in my review of Midwife to Destiny.
Esi is the smart, witty, adorable midwife in a busy hospital that works side by side with Dr. Adam Quarshie, the handsome playboy who has no intention of ever settling down.
I don't do spoilers and a lot of plot giveaways in my reviews but this was a fun (with very poignant moments) clever romance. With a maternity floor as the back drop, there is plenty of medical drama and the author knows her stuff giving the story a solid authenticity.
The sexually charged banter between the main characters was humorous and entertaining. A wonderful plus was we got to visit some natural landmarks, which gave a genuine feel for the scenery and setting of the beautiful country of Ghana.
While Midwife to Destiny was a sweet romance, this time Ms. Prah has the pages sizzling and I do love a good sizzle in my romances.
Destiny Mine is stand alone even though it's part of a series. It's well-written and from the moment you meet Esi and Adam you immediately want to hear their story and the pages turn easily.
I'm looking forward to another in the series.
A Love story with spice, beauty and understanding.
I have read Nana Prah's review and her blog and found her entertaining, thought-provoking and very nice. I have always wanted to visit Africa, where her novels are set, and thought that perhaps a love story set in Africa would serve as a sort of journey. Her characters are likeable, with flaws but with aspects that make you really want them to be happy.
