The British have a new phrase called ‘worklessness’ - which is when adults choose to stay home and live off the Government rather than go out and work. The NDP have long been discussing Universal Basic Income - would this turn Canada into a ‘worklessness’ state - where people will choose to stay at home? (Similar to when the Trudeau Liberals cut cheques to everyone during the pandemic with CERB).
