Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. At one time or another, virtually our entire nation has been locked down. It’d be one thing if lockdowns work, but they do not. The prestigious medical journal The Lancet studied data from 50 countries, and concluded that such lockdowns are not in fact associated with a reduction in the total number of critical cases or the virus’ soverall mortality rate. We have never before in history quarantined perfectly healthy people to deal with a pandemic. Even in the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic, the most severe restrictions were in St. Louis, and the lockdown lasted about 48 hours. Sweden never locked down, and their numbers are better than ours. The Netherlands didn’t lock down, nor did Hong Kong or Taiwan, and their numbers are similar. It’s time to end this foolishness and get America back to work.
