Meet my friend Duanna Barnes. She met her husband when she was 15 years old eating nachos. This initial meeting led to a romance which allowed them to get married. They were soul mates. Duanna's husband became very ill during their marriage. In this episode we talk about how she took care of her husband until his passing. She also talks about how she wanted to die after his death and how God gave her joy and peace in the middle of her pain.

For the season opener of "If the Truth Be Told Podcast" I had the opportunity to interview my pastor, Supt. Victor C. Davis of Greater Mt. Sinai COGIC.  We talk about his love for the NBA, Kobe Bryant's untimely death, and what it is to be a #girldad. We also talk about being a  pastor's son, growing up in church and how being a pastor was not in his original plan. Great conversation from a great leader.

I had the honor to interview Veronda Jackson, founder of the Dream Loud initiative. This organization assists women in using their gifts and abilities to unlock their potential. Are we allowed to dream or do nightmares(fear) prohibit us? Veronda talks about a nightmare she faced as a teenager and through the help of God, moved past it and started living her dreams. Meet Lawanda. She is a new mother, wife to her loving husband and woman of God who prays and ministers to women from all walks of life. On the outside you would think that her life had always been perfect. Although she was raised in a christian home, Lawanda was introduced to an alternative lifestyle in which she lived for numerous years. Through the prayers of her family, church and others who loved her, she made a decision to leave a lifestyle that she was comfortable with and live for God.

A majority of us a huge Kanye West fans. Although you may not agree with his past/present actions or statements, we cannot deny his impact on today's culture. Now that he is a professed born again Christian, people are talking about God and their salvation. In this episode we explore if Kanye really got saved? Should we look past his previous actions and behavior or should we see a man that God is working on. Great episode!

First off, let us appreciate all the veterans who sacrifice everything to make sure that we can be free in this country. On this episode I sat down with my good friend US Navy veteran Ryan Davis. We talk about how he kept his faith while being miles away from home surrounded by water. We also discuss the struggles and victories he had while serving his country and how he had to depend on God.
