Throughout the ages, and especially in more recent times, a pseudo belief system called cryptozoology has developed. It is similar to the idea of lycanthropy—humans turning into werewolves. Another name for this phenomenon is cryptid—referring to the belief that out there somewhere in the wild there are creatures whose existence is unsubstantiated by

science—such as the so-called Yeti, the abominable snowman. Now, some are looking for evidence of half-human, half-animal, Skinwalkers.
