So we thought it was just when we were at Polig's Farm when our LilGuy got scared to be on the viewing deck. It turned out he really feared heights. He sensed it immediately as we climbed the stairs to the top deck in Madalipey, and he did a bit of a tug-of-war with the Farmboy who was leading him.

When we finally reached the top deck, he just stopped. The hubby tried to drag him slowly toward the edge, but he quickly moved backward and wouldn't budge. It was as if he had seen a ghost or something :-)

It was quite amusing to see him do that, but I can relate to how he felt because I'm still working on my own fear.

The hubby was able to make him a bit more comfortable after a while, and they both enjoyed the view, looking down below the deck (the fog didn't make it possible to see anything in the distance).

As for me, I couldn't bring myself to go closer to the railings, so I only took this shot while in the safe zone, lol!


We didn't stay long up there and decided to go back downstairs and wait, hoping the fog would clear. Unfortunately, it didn't. We were there at the wrong time.

Although the weather teased us for a short while, allowing us to get a glimpse of the landscape a bit farther away.


Then a group of excited youngsters arrived, so we thought it was time for us to leave. And what a timing because we felt some drizzle, which made us quickly head to our vehicle.

Anyway, for a better view of the spot, here's a lovely shot, screen-grabbed from a friend's video on a gorgeous day. The deck was built on top of a huge rock. Well, I can only imagine how beautiful a sunset (or even a sunrise) is from that place.


We might not have another chance to visit the place on a lovelier day, but we are grateful to have set foot in it in this lifetime and recorded some memories with the LilGuy that we will not forget.

I was humming that beautiful tune early in the morning and feeling grateful for another day in this universe, when I noticed an unexpected guest perched over a sheet of paper on the kitchen table.

It's been a long time since we met one of its kind, so it was quite exciting. For a moment, it brought me back to the Lil Kingdom where I used to encounter similar creatures almost every day. We don't get to see them often here in DD.

If I remember right, this is a type of Tussock moth. The patterns on its wings are gorgeous, and its legs are so hairy.


We brought it outside so it could see the sunshine. As soon as it was on the ground, it started to flap its wings. It turned out that it was preparing to *launch.* I was just glad to have captured it on camera...



... And on video too, before it flew away to wherever its wings would take it. I did wish it would meet a friend somewhere and they would multiply so we'd have more of them around here, lol!

I was about to leave when a tiny Ermine moth caught my eye. It was lying upside down on the drum, so I thought it was already lifeless.


I poked it gently, and it didn't move, so I flipped it over, and aha, it was alive! I noticed that one of its antennae was shorter than the other. It may have bumped into something, and it got clipped.



[I think that] like the Tussock, this is harmless too. And yes, I was fascinated and glad to have encountered them today. And so I'll keep singing, 🎵🎵It's a beautiful day ay ay ay...🎵🎵😍

**Magandang buhay!**

We have many video files that I had been meaning to edit and upload but things keep happening (aah excuses, lol!) that my *next times* are already piling up and I had to do something about it. So yesterday while on my nth day of self-quarantine, I tried putting 4 short vids into one - bee(s), butterfly, ants, moth.

They were recorded from different places and times but since they are all about the little wonders around us, it makes sense to put them together. The bee buzzing on the passion fruit flower was in an uncle's yard. We came from a wake in their neighborhood and had nowhere to park so we left the car in their front yard. We were about to leave when the lone bee caught my attention.

The bee hovering over the flower of a citrus tree was at my father-in-law's place. We were relaxing under it when I noticed it. Meanwhile, the butterfly on the chrysanthemum was taken by the Farmboy last year at the city's [mini park](https://peakd.com/hive-165485/@ifarmgirl/some-encounters-at-the-park-5g6).

The video of the ants seemingly lost on the black water hose was also at my in-laws and the moth was in the Lil Kingdom which reminded me it's been a long time since we went home there and I missed everything about it. It's where we usually encounter different species of insects, moths, and many other wonders which I often wrote about in the past.

Anyway, it's the hump day and we are driving to my parents today. The cold temperature and my allergies are still bothering me but we have to go because it's been 10 days since our last visit and we missed them so much! Besides, Dad and my brother needed to rest a bit so it's my turn to attend to Mom at least for a night or two, and with that, I might be mostly offline until we return to DD.

I was laughing out loud while tapping my keyboard. My little guy heard someone outside and he barked like crazy in his tiny voice. He sure knows when there is new blood around and he lets his beast side out. We have a guard in our midst!

The husband came home with a company and Anyeong seemed to have sensed it he ran to the door and howled like he was being attacked. Now I know we are safe with him in the house, haha! Not that we had any history of being mugged or something here in our little kingdom but who knows!

Anyhow, we were to go out today for some sightseeing 'coz the husband said he found a good place to sit and relax somewhere not so far away but my mood says otherwise so we didn't push through. This is one of those times when I prefer to just *be* and let time pass by without much physical movement or thinking. A real *lazy day* as we put it, lol!


The Farmboy agreed and he's now thinking about whether to grill some chicken or just pop open the junk pack of a cheesy corn crunch to be our *pulutan* over some cans of apple-flavored beer. Running downtown is out of the options because being a Sunday, only a few shops are open.

But before any of that happens, I'm making sure to check off this day's goal first - post! I am on a mission to get the Hivebuzz Yearly Author badge and since this is the first year it is coming out, I wouldn't want to miss it. Too committed eh?

That's also me trying to keep a good self-discipline. Talk about making good on my own promises. No doubt I would be kicking myself if I'm going to miss this one, haha! But yes, I'm thankful to HB team for gamifying our Hive achievements (and experiences) through these cool badges. I don't know about you but for me, there is no denying that these make me strive and do even better to have them on my board.


If you are on this *self* challenge too, I'm rooting for you. It's not easy I know, but let's keep on. We will then give ourselves a pat on the back when the time comes or maybe grab some drinks! What a celebration that must be since it will coincide with the new year.

Sounds like I'm getting ahead of myself there, but why not? LOL! The thing is that I'm just excited and optimistic about the possibilities :)

So this is it! A day to take a breather, just chill, and make life #sweeet as that can of beer puts it.

And let me share this clip of a butterfly chugging along despite a really breezy day. Pardon me but I'm yet to do any editing. The *lazy* me keeps saying "I will do it next time" but many "next times" have passed and none have been done so... you get it, yeah? Lol!

The quick trip to my father-in-law early on Monday made Anyeong rather unhappy. We went out of the house just past 6 in the morning after he got fed and drove straight to Papa's place.

The husband met with Mr. B for some urgent matters relating to the farms that had to be attended to before we headed to the polls. We thought it would be quick but it took a good amount of time (2 hours). My little guy and I went for a walk along the neighbor's farms to kill the waiting time 'coz Papa was busy preparing to go out so we didn't really catch up. The precincts open as early as 6 a.m. and old folks like him are usually the earliest, lol!

Anyway, after some time, Anyeong got bored and he started whimpering and scratching me in the chest. He has nowhere to run around. Well, he had but it would mean him getting muddy and such so we just went back to the car.

He seems to be saying, "Aren't we going home already?"


I let him stretch his body in the back seat, keeping the door open for the fresher mountain air. It turned out that he was very sleepy, hence the grumpiness.


"Come on, let's go already," he seems pleading here, lol!


Thankfully, the husband was done with his stuff because we were starving and Papa didn't have any food ready. We sped off and found a cozy place to have breakfast somewhere in the valley.

After some more detours (groceries, fruit shop, the local precinct), we drove to my parent's house for Anyeong to meet his grandparents, lol! It was as if Mom was expecting him. I learned my aunt who visited us on Saturday told her about our little guy.


He played with Ahjay, ran around, sniffed my Dad's feet, kissed Mom's forehead, peed on their long couch, and pooped in their chair, haha! My mother was amused watching him. Then it was time to say goodbye, but first, we let him visit the other house. I had to put him on top of the bar stool when he started sniffing around my indoor plants and biting on them, lol!

Anyhow, we drove home and he spent the entire time in bed until the next morning. We were worried thinking he might be sick. But glad he was not. He was probably exhausted from the trip and the attention he got from my parents.

I realized he's just like me. While we have fun and enjoy time with people we care about, we get physically drained in the process.

Weird huh?

Kinda, but I kid you not, it's real!
