Jay Groome was drafted in the 1st round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox and had a lot of hype around his name out of high school. During the early parts of his career, Groome struggled to adapt to professional baseball and was sidelined with multiple injuries. 6 years later, Groome is playing AAA and was recently traded to the San Diego Padres.
