On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Playstation Plus games for January 2022 are announced! Following Halo Infinite Meowster Chief comes the newly added "Mister Chief" based on the popular Halo meme created by Halo boss Frank O'Conner. Narz names her top 5 games of the year. Narz has all that in your Daily Fix!

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, To deal with the ongoing global PlayStation 5 shortage, Sony has allegedly come up with a plan to "fill the supply vacuum and keep gamers within the PlayStation ecosystem." God of War comes to PC and already many are impressed with its instant load times. If only Mimir could give us the TLDR of his stories.. STALKER 2 developer GSC Game World has taken the decision to delay the game until later this year. As announced on Twitter, the developer has notified its fans that STALKER 2's new release date has been shifted back to December this year. Narz has all that in your Daily Fix!

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Days Gone director Jeff Ross says that the game outsold Ghost of Tsushima, but that it was still treated like a disappointment by studio management. This week, Ghost of Tsushima developer Sucker Punch announced on Twitter that, since its launch in July 2020, the game has now officially sold over 8 million copies. That accomplishment comes just months after the release of the game's Director's Cut. Konami has announced the launch of an NFT collection to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Castlevania. The "KONAMI MEMORIAL NFT" collection features 14 unique artworks from the Castlevania series in celebration of the iconic franchise's 35th anniversary, though it actually comes a few months on from the milestone date in September. The complete collection will be available for the worldwide auction on OpenSea (a popular online marketplace for NFTs) from January 12. In perhaps one of the more absurd stories to kick off 2022, the Pope has just watched a circus perform, set to music from Undertale. As spotted by fans on Twitter (and reported by The Gamer), the Pope appears to have started the new year the right way by watching a group of circus performers put on a display to the sound of Undertale's 'Megalovania'. Narz has all that in your Daily Fix!

Today on IGN The Fix: Games, Xbox Game Pass is getting another stellar lineup of games in January of 2022, including a big headliner, Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Bioware's critically acclaimed space-opera will be available for console and PC users as part of EA Play, which is included alongside Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, or PC Game Pass memberships. Other games hitting the subscription service this January include Outer Wilds, Spelunky 2, The Pedestrian, and more. While this won't be everything coming to Game Pass in January, as Xbox tends to announce a second wave of games in the latter parts of every month, this is certainly a decent start to the year. A deleted mid-credits cutscene for Halo Infinite has seemingly been unearthed by dataminers - and fans are trying to work out what it could mean for the future of the story (if anything). As shared on YouTube, Gamecheat13 posted the cutscene, which was seemingly meant to play out after the end of the game's single-player campaign, but before the post-credits scene that made it into the final version. In what might be one of the most amusing "I got a new job" posts ever, Halo Infinite lead narrative designer Aaron Linde has announced that he's leaving 343 Industries and joining Riot Games. Linde announced the news via Twitter, in a tongue-in-cheek video riffing on the "on the next episode" bookends of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Xbox has one-upped Take-Two's recent purchase of Zynga by acquiring publishing and development giant Activision Blizzard for nearly $70 billion. That brings franchises like Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, Diabo, Tony Hawk, Overwatch, StarCraft, Warcraft, and tons more under the Microsoft umbrella. The deal won't be finalized for at least another year, and of course talks of an Xbox monopoly are already making the rounds on the internet. And what does this mean for embattled Activision Blizzard head Bobby Kotick? And what of multi-platform games like Call of Duty: Warzone? Let us know what you think about this insane deal in the comments.
