Just so you know, you are not less than anyone else. Read that again. 

Having these thoughts will only hold you back from doing things in your life that you are made for. If the dream or thought is in you; it's because it is made for you. Problem is we often define ourselves based on society's standards and we bump and grind with the dangerous comparison which leads us to feeling shit about ourselves.

If you've ever been here, or are there now, please have a listen. 

Working through this feeling of "less than" or "not enoughness" will see you doing things and taking steps you've previously denied yourself of.

As women we get sold a story that the more we sacrifice ourselves, and put others first, the more loving, caring, nurturing and giving we are.

I'm not buying it... anymore! I bought it for long enough, until I had to stop.

First of all I had to stop buying into this for ME but also for those around me. Ironic right?

Putting ourselves first on our list is not selfish - it is necessary to do the work we have been called to do.

Jo is a mentor and transformation coach for women 40+, helping them to navigate the years of perimenopause and beyond. She supports women to become energised, healthy and ready to embrace the second half of life. Prior to this role, Jo worked in the education sector for over three decades. In that time she had many roles including: principal; classroom teacher; educational advisor; beginner teacher mentor; and teacher-aide trainer.  In 2020 she experienced the toll of physical and mental burn-out and made a life-changing decision to leave the teaching profession and follow her calling to help women create their best life.

What does a sunflower and your business have in common? You'd be surprised!

Let me take you through this analogy, I love a good metaphor that teaches us a lesson through s story.

There are SO MANY metaphors in our day to day life that can be dissected and the juices, lessons and power of the story just rolls out!

Your business is like a sunflower - the process, the TLC, the timings, the intention, the strategy, the beauty and strength is just like your biz!

As we kick off a new year, I want you to be thinking about your business and how it's rolling for you... do you need to be more intentional with it, do you need a coach/mentor in your corner, are you watering it, are you fertilising it when needed, are you giving the space and the elements it needs to shine?

A flower farmer that has a vision to sell her/his flowers does not just wing it and plant a seed whenever or wherever [ooohhh hola Shakira!]... the work, intention, support, tools, daily effort, learning, strategy and long term focus required is not a "lets wing it" act... and neither should your business!

I know this episode will start to ignite some fire in you to get you thinking as a boss!

Have you been waiting for the clock to strike? You know, have you been waiting for 01.01.23 to be the motivation?

Perhaps you're saying things like, "2023 will be different", "next year I'll start working out", "next year I'll be more courageous and confident", "I'll start/stop _____ next year" ... you know it's a bit like the saying "diet starts tomorrow"... but tomorrow comes and it's the same old thing.

I want you to think about this. We are so close to a new year, this is a GREAT time to reflect on the year that was and set intentions for the year to come, but I don't want you getting stuck in a rut of believing that the strike of a clock is the solution to everything ... Perhaps some of those things can start now, tonight or tomorrow?

This is the very last episode for 2022 and I am so GRATEFUL to you! Grateful to be in your ears and your life, grateful to be supported by you, grateful to be chosen by you and grateful for your time, space, support and love!

Have you ever picked a "word for the year"?

Doing this has brought so much direction, intention and focus into my life!

It's not like a new years resolution that you forget about after week 3 of the new year - it sticks with you, it guides you and it brings you back to the present moment as well as keep your focused on the bigger vision!
