After 15 years in global product management and tech marketing, in 2011, Aurora re-designed her career to focus on her passion for learning, leadership, and team development. 

She often describes her eclectic and human-centered design approach as 'soup-making.' Developing self-awareness is the soup base. Curating and mixing ingredients includes systems psychodynamics, neuroscience, and design thinking, seasoned with salt and pepper ground from science.

In this episode, Aurora will share some best practice ingredients used to enhance individual and team performance. We will touch upon mindfulness practice, team coaching, collaboration, trust-building, and some science (including allostasis and dual hormone hypothesis).

In this episode, our guest Shawn Grenier shares his perspective on effective workplace debriefing through the lens of the learning within the U.S. military and the international oil & gas industry. Shawn offers practical insights into what effective debriefing is/is not, and how to make debriefing a daily practice within your organisation. After countless moves across the U.S. and currently internationally based, he has gained over 30 years of valued leadership experience in aircraft maintenance and operations, team performance, and strategic development, and he is also an active international commercial aircraft pilot.

He served in multiple Navy squadrons and as a consultant in the international oil and gas industry that has literally taken him all over the world. With opportunities to work at multiple levels in many different high-reliability organisations, Shawn understands the challenges faced by today’s leaders and managers.
