It always comes down to customer service. It's the little things like remembering people's names, sending a small treat or a handwritten note. What can you do that can put you above everyone else — to create a memorable experience, to stand out. Often it's completely free.

Creativity often happens in isolation. That's why so many people prefer to be consumers rather than creators. To be creative, we often need to go to the desert, away from distraction — we need to force isolation, get out of the routine and choose solace and silence.

Success is what you do when no one's watching — when nobody knows if you show up or put in the work. But you know. our battle is with ourselves. 

Who are you doing it for? If you're doing it for the applause of others, you'll quit. Everyone wants to stand on the stage in the light, but few people want to work alone in the dark.

I am often asked where I get my inspiration. Movies? Soundtracks? For me, it's getting outside, running and cycling. 

Step away from devices and get out in nature. It will break you out of your routine and good things will result.
