Today's Show: Can't Nobody Hold Me Down

Side Jawn 3/26/22

Dennis - Welcome, host, intro co-host Chocolate Girrrrrrrl! (say it right now!)

Today Can't Nobody Hold Us Down - name of the show - had some things go down. Saturday mornings are tricky sometimes but we in here.

Dennis - Turning back the clock a little, think about when you were younger, what were some of your life goals?

What are some things you thought were indicators of wealth when you were a kid? (Read the graphic below)

Dennis: Sharon brought to my attention something last week, about some middle school white kids staged a mock slave auction in the school selling black students! In 2022!

Mock Slave Auction - NC

-Sharon - timeline

- update

- Dennis, how does hearing about this make you feel?

- When was your first experience with racism?

- When was the last time?

- It's 2022. What do we do now?

- Dennis would this kind of thing go down in Philly? Chatham Co, NC, right next to Durham Co and I'm telling you we would shut this place down if they tried that here!

US Supreme Court Nomination Hearings

-Ketanji Brown Jackson

On February 25, 2022, President Joe Biden announced that he would nominate Ketanji Brown Jackson to the position of Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States to fill the an upcoming vacancy by Stephen Breyer, who announced his retirement on January 27, 2022 at the age of 83. How hateful those Republicans are being. They're mad because she is more qualified than any other justice currently sitting on the US Supreme Court, including the Chief Justice!!!! If she gets confirmed, she will be the first Black woman justice on the US Supreme Court in history!!!!

Music - What are some of your favorite songs to listen to to get you going in the morning?

Sharon - Blessed and Highly Favored - The Clark Sisters

Rock Steady - Aretha Franklin

Bad Boys/P Diddy - C

What else do you do to have JOY in your life?

What's your favorite game and system? and Why?

What made you become a gamer? Do you stream yourself playing video games? Any platform of choice?

Dating someone with a 15 or more year age difference

Living together:

-Rent is $2000/mo, electric $200/mo, wifi/cable $100/mo, water $50/mo. $2350 in expenses. You and your girl/boy friend move in together. The original question stated "how much does the man pay?"

-Household roles: who cooks, who cleans? does it matter? who takes out garbage? who washes cars? who cuts grass? who grocery shops? who does laundry?

Should you live together before marriage? Why? Why not?.. Thank you for Listening make sure you go like and subscribe to all podcast platforms. We are also on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter on @Ignoranthinkerspodcast click the link in bio
