When we listen to our ego mind over our inner voice, we create an imbalance that can manifest in unhealthy choices and patterns of behaviour. Choosing external stimuli (such as too much food, booze, drugs, exercise, shopping, photographing yourself for social media etc) over internal investigation, does not silence the voice or shortcut the process to oneness/happiness.
