Annie Rouse is a dedicated hemp entrepreneur, educator and activist who has spent the last 10 years building a sustainable supply chain for hemp products through her manufacturing and formulations entity, OP Innovates, and her suite of branded products including Overcome, Nature’s Hemp Oil, Hemp Mellow and Anavii Health.

Annie earned a US Fulbright Scholarship to study the environmental life cycle of the Canadian hemp supply chain, received her BS in Economics and a Masters in International Environmental Policy and an MBA. In her free time, Annie is the writer and producer of her podcast series, Anslinger: The untold cannabis conspiracy – an interview-narration style podcast highlighting Big Pharma’s role in cannabis prohibition analyzed from 10 years of archival research. She is also the founder and Board Member of Friends of Hemp, a non-profit advancing the value of hemp by engaging our communities. As FCID’s Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for the CBD, Hemp, and Dietary Supplement Markets, Marcia’s responsibilities include growing other services and certifications for these segments, including testing, USDA Organic, non-GMO Project verification, and cGMP compliance. 

Prior to joining FCID, Marcia spent 10 years with U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) as the Marketing Director on Dietary Supplements where her responsibilities included business development and marketing for their supplement and ingredient verification programs. Before USP, she spent six years combined in marketing with Perrigo’s private label and Chattem’s branded supplement product lines. Marcia also did marketing and product development at companies including ConAgra, Kimberly-Clark, and Nabisco.

Erica Halverson will talk about how her hemp paper business grew along with her quest to save the planet -- one plant at a time!

Erica Halverson started her career path in retail and moved into a corporate structure, marking her way as a Marketing, Sales, Branding and CPG expert until she decided to get some smaller table experience under her belt and moved to Silicon Valley to join the Startup community. What changed her life was finding her way into the cannabis industry working for a large premium vaporizer company where she was able to marry her professional career with a plant she is personally passionate about. She said "it felt like coming home."
