The Industrial Hemp Research Foundation (IHRF) was conceived in 2014 and incorporated in 2015 to serve the re-establishment of Industrial Hemp into the U.S. market and economy, its associated industries, and support necessary R&D by educational and academic institutions.

The Industrial Hemp Research Foundation provides financial support for industrial hemp-related research programs at the largest academic institutes in the state of Colorado and in 2017 will expand nationwide.

The Foundation relies upon the generous contributions of individuals and businesses throughout Colorado and across the United States to achieve our project support goals.

Hempstone Heritage By Less Stark

Learn about the fascinating details of the old Pennsylvania hemp industry in the Hempstone Heritage Series written be Les Stark. By analyzing many primary documents he was able to come up with a unique perspective of the old hemp industry.

What he found was a story nothing short of amazing! Les is now able to bring the story of the Pennsylvania hemp industry to the world. There were over 100 water-powered hemp mills lining the streams creeks and rivers of Lancaster County alone with dozens of hemp mills in neighboring York County and the surrounding counties.
