
Hello everyone!



Well, it happened. I drove to the movie theater to experience one of the big blockbuster hits of the summer, and it technically did not disappoint! The Little Mermaid was everything I wanted it to be and about 27 minutes more than I wanted it to be. 



Never fear, people. The underwater scenes were not distracting, and real-life Prince Eric is as handsome as he was in the cartoon. 



That sentence is not weird.

Well, it's Tortured Poets Department time. Lara and I took a few days to digest Taylor Swift's new double album and are ready to share our initial thoughts. If I had to describe the piece in a few words, I would choose "raw" and "brooding." So, if you're looking for a 1989-ish sing-a-long, I'm afraid this isn't the era for you. With that said, Lara and I are intrigued by this album and the 31 glimpses we have into the soul of a tortured poet.
