  • Yahweh is great and is highly praised; His greatness is unsearchable.
    Celebrate Life
This past week I took three of my grandsons to the pizza place with the giant mouse. These three grandsons are ages thirteen, ten and seven. They all enjoy going there.  I observed that all of the people that were there came to have fun, to celebrate living, and to celebrate relationships of friends and family.  It was a reminder to me that we need to take the time to celebrate the relationships that we have been given by God and have fun and enjoy the life that we have together.
Philippians 2:2 states, “Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.”  For us to enjoy the relationship fully, we have to be likeminded.  What peace, joy, and fulfillment we can have when we are of one love, one accord, and one mind in our relationships.  We need to take and make the time to develop the relationships in our lives.
    Blessings to all,

  • A person with patience is not judgmental.
    Ecclesiastes 1
    Everything is Futile
1 The words of the Teacher, son of David, king in Jerusalem. 2 “Absolute futility,” says the Teacher.“Absolute futility. Everything is futile.” 3 What does a man gain for all his efforts that he labors at under the sun? 4 A generation goes and a generation comes, but the earth remains forever. 5 The sun rises and the sun sets; panting, it returns to its place where it rises. 6 Gusting to the south, turning to the north, turning, turning, goes the wind, and the wind returns in its cycles. 7 All the streams flow to the sea, yet the sea is never full. The streams are flowing to the place, and they flow there again. 8 All things are wearisome; man is unable to speak. The eye is not satisfied by seeing or the ear filled with hearing. 9 What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done; there is nothing new under the sun.

  • Till we meet at Jesus' feet.
John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.

  • The Joy Of The Lord Is My Strength!
    Our Purpose in Living
I attended a memorial service this week. One part of the service was the eulogy. The eulogy was given by the son. The son paid tribute to his father and the relationship they had together. The son focused his tribute on the value of his father's service to his family, nation, community and church.
The focus of his fathers' life was that of service for others. What greater purpose is there in our lives than service?
In the gospel of Matthew, chapter 16, verse 25, we read, "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it."  Our spiritual discipleship requires us to make a real commitment of service. That commitment of service gives a purpose in our lives in all that we do.  I believe we can lose our intended purpose when we do not have a commitment to service in our lives. Without that purpose of service, we become selfish, territorial, negative etc.. When we have that commitment to service, our purpose becomes just the opposite.  We want what benefits others.  We see a greater good other than ourselves. Our witness of discipleship is seen and draws others to have that same relationship with God.  What we will discover in our service is our real purpose in living, which is our service to each other.
    Blessings to all,
