    Musing: The 3-D Life
A few weeks ago, we had our little family vacation and one of the things that we did was tour the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff.    One of the exhibits was in 3-D, so we were given a pair of 3-D glasses when we first went into the exhibit room.  I don’t know if you have ever used a pair of these specialized spectacles but, when you put them on, you have the ability to view images specifically developed for the purpose to be seen in a three-dimensional construction.  The images we were gazing at were the landscape of Mars, which gave new insight and perspective to the depth of its caverns.  When you take the glasses off, you see 2-dimensionional pictures but, with 3-D, you get that additional dimension that enhances your senses and understanding.  We already have a limited natural perspective but, looking at art, photography, or film, you lose even more perspective unless you use 3-D glasses. I think a lot of times within our own Christian lives and walk with God, we fail to see the depth and perspective that God wants us to have because we don’t put on His 3-D glasses, or what I call, 3(in 1)-Divinity glasses.  This gives us supernatural ability to clearly see yourself, others and circumstances the way that God sees. We need to look through different glasses in order to live the 3-D Life. The Scriptures remind us that there is more to being a Christian than just calling ourselves one, and we need to gain the 3-D perspective.  This perspective grants us the ability to see and understand the depth of wisdom that only the Holy Spirit can give.  God wants us to have His understanding in how we participate and are active in this Christian life in all areas, including sacraments and ordinances that we practice as the Church of Jesus Christ. There is something more important here than our religious conduct and actions. Blessings, Chaplain Krupnik
