The Erugbe Family hails from Imegun Village, Itele in Ijebu East Local Government of Ogun State in Nigeria.
Sharing land space between Epe and Ogun State, the lineage and townlet are over 200 years old. Presently, the (Erugbe) family is inundated (with) a territory confiscation emergency also known as Land Grabbing, a crisis that has left many of its relatives fleeing for their lives.
According to Mr Bayo Awode, Spokesperson for the family, over 1,000 hectares of land worth above 800 million naira in value in the Itele community, belonging to the (Erugbe) family have been seized.
