Gino Grasso is a long time collector, DJ and producer (one half of Italian producers, G&D with Dino Angioletti) who started buying records at 11 years old

at the tail end of the 70′s when his uncle was working at an independent radio station in Italy. He soon fell in love with disco and boogie seeking out music that was generally off the radar of collectors at the time.

He was lucky enough to land his first gigs at one of the premiere underground clubs in Italy, the Kinky Club in Bologna. He was part of the amazing Italian DJ crew Garage Paradise, alongside the like of Enrico Crivellaro aka Volcov, Luca Trevisi, Riccio and other good guys. He's been playing around international and Italian clubs for years, often in partnership with the good friend LTJ-Xperience whom he considers as a real master.

As G&D or solo, Gino's productions are mainly focused on re-edits, reworks and remixes with several tunes out on label such as No More Hits, Midnight Riot, Editorial including a latest G&D remix for Dimitri From Paris & Dj Rocca "Disco Shake" on Hell Yeah!

Mirko Casalini entered into the music world at age 18, after being fascinated for years by his cousin’s work as a professional dj.

At 18, after deciding to follow onto the same path as his cousin, this guy bought his first set of turntables and started his love of collecting vinyl.

Mirko’s musical tastes comes with variety; allowing him to mix music from house to techno, then crossing into jazz,afro,latin and disco.

Influenced by great artists such as Louie vega,Joe Claussell,Sadar Bahar,Antal and Volcov;Mirko has built up his identity over the years, carrying on his music with passion.

This passion, soon lead him to his new project, “Tasty Treats Records.”.

Tasty Treat Records, is Mirko’s label born in early 2018 aiming to showcase an arrangement of artists who reflect his own musical tastes.

For the 62th episode we invite Marianna Matteucci aka Marlò.

Marlò does not define her music ascribing it to a specific genre, although her influences are disco, house and dance music. Her sets are a swirl of melodic but also lightning psychedelic, acid sounds to come back then to the Chicago synth and moog effects. Weaned from Tipografia, club definited by Rolling Stones as the" Italo Disco heaven", She began to collaborate with Led X in Bologna in 2011 and in 2012 entred in Slow Motion (independent dance music label). Marlo is also ½ of Askol'd & Marlò project created in collaboration with her friend Askol'd (Andrea Salute). Since she moved to Istanbul where she still be living she started to collaborate with Generic Music Agency, Dinamo Radio 103.8 FM then FG Radio 93.7 exploring the techno and acid sounds more and more. Spreading the word of good quality music and create a warm and engaging dance floor are the leitmotiv of her music.

For the 60th episode we Invite Michael Valentino AKA Mare Cosmico.

“Mare Cosmico” is the nickname Michael Valentino, young dj and producer.Born in Puglia, South of Italy, he approaches the electronic music playing the guitar bass and vintage keyboards. Moved to Milan he starts to collect and put on some old disco-funk vinyls and Balearic stuff. He found the “Lé Gent” project and thanks to it he obtains collaborations with realities of Milan like Santeria, Radio Raheem, Dude Club, Roots, Disco Safari and Reverso Festival, where he appears in line up with some big names of the caliber of Robotnick. In 2020 his first EP comes out and it was streamed among others in fm on Balamiii, a web radio station based in London.

He get passionate more and more to boogie and nu disco sounds with the use of Italian classics and re-edit tracks. And so, with this focus, is born the collaboration with Disco Strummer for the “ITALOEXOTICA radio-show”, online once a month on MONDONERO . The project want to be a little vinyl only label too, for promote the made in Italy productions and restyle just the best from the good vibes only old Italian music.

In the Meantime, is already working on the next single “The Sun” that will come out soon on “Box of Balearic” with a very special participation.
