Funk, Disco and World Music lovers, his sound ranges from Latin to City Pop, with rarity and sounds related to EIVH style.

The 18th episode is curated & mixed by Richard & Emme, from Modena.

Richard (Riccardo Bortolamasi) and Emme (Matteo Dotti) are two guys from Modena born in '88 and '90 who, both passionate about House music, decide to start collaborating together as DJs performing for friends and local promoters. The thing, however, that they have never stopped doing, is to continuously search for new sounds by collecting records and sharing them each other so that they can combine their styles with a unique and never banal sound. In their sets, never studied and the result of years of listening and passion, we move from funk to disco, from modern jazz to French touch, making their listening each time a unique and engaging thing.

We are really proud to present Umberto aka Dumbobeat & half part of Nudge for this 17th episode.

-

Umberto is born and based in Bologna. Still very young, his first approaches to electronic music date to Echoes Club (Cattolica) and Circoloco at DC10 (Ibiza). Fascinated by these experiences, from music to feelings, he started his own path collecting hypnotizing and rare records. Some years after, he founded 320KB Music, an independent music label which was immediately supported worldwide by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Zip and Dorian Paic. He’s also one half of NUDGE with his friend DJ P!sta. The duo played at renowned clubs like Club der Visionaere, Goa Club in Rome or the mighty Veniceberg. Umberto is a real musician, releasing also some Hip Hop music as Dumbo Beat, showing continuously his skills as lyricist and song writer.

Marcello,Luca e Mattia are the members of this project, called Sound Selvatico.

They started playing together two years ago thank to each singular love for house/disco/soulful music.

They, in fact, propose a vinyl dynamic set that goes from the sounds of the Bigs of re-edit or classic disco/house music, like “Giorgio Moroder”, “Motor City Drum Ensemble” or “Louie Vega”, to the greatest of the Underground/Chicago/Detroit music, like “Glenn Underground” or “Marcellus Pitman”.

Their inspiration borned when they played for the first time some vynils recorded by “Glitterbox Record”, “Casablanca”, “Mad House Records”, “Defected Records” ….. .. Since that moment they upload a “back-to-back” set capable of being proposed in any occasion.

Nanni Bottura: co-founder of the collective Untitled, takes his first steps into the world of electronic music as a kid, learning styles and techniques directly on the dancefloor. After the most disparate experiences around the best clubs in Europe, together with his crew, he finally creates a format for organising unconventional and out-of-the-box events, born from the need to express his vision of clubbing and to give third parties the opportunity to perform, with the aim of alleviating the increasingly progressive annihilation of the scene in Modena. It offers multiple sounds within the international electronic sphere, but the real vein follows what was the first house of the early 90s and its infinite facets.

Cristian S, dj from the late 80’s and a great collector of vinyl, began his musical journey inspired by the sacred monsters of disco music from the 70/80s such as Larry Levan, Dave Mancuso and Nicky Siano.

Always fascinated by the disco and house scene of the late 80’s and 90’s in Chicago, Detroit and New York with the master Dave Morales, Frankie Knuckles and Master at Work, Cristian S put his first records in Mantua clubs such as Mascara; Nicodemus, Eta Beta,

then moved to the riviera clubs such as Echoes, Morphine, Villa Delle Rose, in Tuscany at Frau Marlen, Milan, Bologna, Modena and Carpi where he was one of the Resident of the party “Anima" at Oltrecafe club.
